Will Smith is an icon in our generation, but off screen has been a lunatic for quite some time. Chris Rock handled it as well as you can. I'm really not sure there's more to it than this.

What actually frustrates me is your inability to explain your perspective while maintaining a standard for everyone else to explain theirs. I don't like blatant hypocrisy, in my Will Smiths or fellow RMers.

I believe the point about race is that black women have historically been (and continue to be) scrutinized for their hair, especially for having "natural" hairstyles, which Rock as the host of a documentary about this very topic should have been more sensitive about before making a joke about JPS's hair, which is both natural and a choice she made as a result of a medical condition.
