I have no idea what that number means.
it grossed 7.042 million dollars and was in 1778 theaters (im really shocked they didnt stop at 1776)

so that means it made 3906 per theater it was released at

Really? With the Republican Orgs buying up tickets to make it look sold out, I'm surprised it was that low.

Scream 7 is a huge hit, around 100k globally in its first weekend. Already a franchise best. Movie is not good, but i had fun, and i really like the franchise and its people around it so im happy if they make another one, but yeah they need to work way more on their script.

Very happy with Obsession's box office. I loved the movie and im planning to see it again.

Also, seems Grogu will make some bucks for SW, seems it made around 270m globally and the price tag was 160m, but im sure it was more if we count other stuff.

Star Wars is a bit soft, but otherwise the box office seems pretty healthy right now.

Star Wars actually beat its prerelease tracking—not by a lot ($10 million or so) but if it had swung the other way it would have been a disaster.

I would've gone to see it but I never looked at season 3 of the show. And I never looked at season 3 of the show because I never got around to watching the Mando episodes of that Boba Fett show, in part because it was too much trouble to identify which episodes were relevant. The Disney+ era of drowning us in Marvel and Star Wars content may have solidified Disney+ as a streaming service but I do think it was part of the struggles both franchises are facing at the box office

Very happy with the success of both Obsession and Backrooms; and i love that they won over SW.

Obsession has gained audience the last two weeks, which is very rare, especially this time of the year.

It's gotta be sinking in that its better to make more smaller movies and go for doubles and triples instead of going for a billion dollar homeruns all the time and striking out.

54 Millions for Masters Of the Universe doesnt look good for a potential sequel. The movie has a 200m price tag.

Scary Movie did 105m globally, amazing actually.

Yeah doesn't look good for MotU but it's possible it could do well on Amazon...they might not be overly concerned with the box office.....or they are freaking out and its done.

MOTU flopping is great news. The era of huge-budget IP slop/nostalgiabait needs to fucking die. And it seems like it finally is, thank Christ. Backrooms and Obsession outgrossing that and (probably) Star Wars is very good for movies.

The real test is gonna be the new Avengers. If that underperforms (which I suspect it will, as it reeks of desperation), that's gonna be a huge signal that we're in a new place.

If they understand the appeal of the IP, they shouldnt freak out. Im almost sure they are freaking out though.
