Or maybe Ed just uses some core themes repeatedly, when he's up amongst the waves thinking about death and trying not to get overwhelmed.

There are basically like 6 themes he writes about

im worried that they are already skipping this one a lot live, its the one i want to hear the most live and im thinking i might miss out on it. i dont think it got played at either BK show or either Philly show.

Hopefully they'll settle into a groove with it once it's been played a few more times.

I know he was into early Kings of Leon. I read somewhere that most of the stuff on "Pearl Jam" was written after Ed had spent an entire summer or year or something listening to Aha Shake Heartbreak, which is actually a good album but sounds nothing like ST.
