Yeah the booking with Sandow has made no sense. A heel wins the briefcase and fails to cash in? Just weird.

I watched Bret Hart/British Bulldog from an in your house in 95 last night, and it was a fantastic match. So good that I'm now suprised that no one ever talks about it.

One of the most underrated matches of all time. Everyone talks about their match at Summerslam 1992. It was a great match and the atmosphere was bonkers (I'd love to see England get a major PPV again someday....maybe the Royal Rumble) but it was more so a carry job by Bret. I mean DBS was coked out of his mind (admittedly so) and Bret called a lot of the match himself.

Agreed though that 95 match was stellar. That blade job by Bret was nasty and Cornette makes most things better. So much heat. Bret could have a good match with anyone at that point. His match with Taker at Rumble (I believe the next WWF PPV) was very good as well before Taker was having good matches.

Dude, you ever want someone to talk about under the radar matches.....I might be your dude. I watched Rick Rude vs Ric Flair at Fall Brawl 1993 last night. When you talk about underrated Rick Rude comes to mind for me.

I think I'm going to watch the 96 PPV's next, I've never seen most of the matches from Michaels' run as champ.

You are in for a treat, man. WWF was very underrated in 96. HBK was amazing in 96. One of the GOAT runs as champ in rasslin history if not the best as far as match quality. Great matches with Nash (I was at their In Your House match...I was 15), Davey, Vader, Foley (Mind Games is one of my favorite matches of all time) and even got a good match out of Sid at MSG. Good matches on Raw too with Owen and Yokozuna.

Totally just wrestlegeeked out. My bad.

I've only seen the Iron Man match and the Mind Games match, and I remember nothing of the Mind Games one as it's been 10+ years. The Iron Man match is one of my favorite matches of all time, I dont think it's regarded as highly as it should be. It's two of the best guys of all time, at their peak, and both of them are intent on having the best match they've ever had. It's an absolute clinic.

A lot of rest holds and there are better Iron Man matches I think (Flair/Steamboat, Brock/Angle and even Samoa Joe/CM Punk) but I agree it kind of gets crapped on. It was really good. Last 10 minutes is excellent.

I actually watched the second of the Flair/Steamboat 1989 trilogy from Clash of the Champions last night.

Is that the one where Terry Funk goes crazy after the match? That's the only one of those Flair/Steamboat matches I've seen.

That was the next/last one. That was Wrestle War. That was a great match too as were the Flair/Funk matches. Flair's run from 88-89 is unmatched. So many classics.

As for the Bret/Davey boy match, I don't recall seeing a blade job like that in wwe before that match. I'm probably wrong, but they were certainly rare in 95.

Did you watch Rumble 96? What did you think? Pretty underrated PPV.

Rusev
Brock
Cesaro (hoping for a double turn and Cesaro push now that Reigns is hurt...think a Brock/Cesaro match around Survivor Series would be great)
Dolph
Paige
Rusev
Orton
Goldydust (I'm ok with this if Henry/Show reform their tag team and go for the titles)

Rumor is with Reigns injured that Ambrose might show up tonight and challenge Rollins for the briefcase. Hope so to avoid a B-/C PPV.

I watched the 96 rumble, I didn't think it was that great. The rumble match had a good finish, but it was kind of a snoozer until then. The main event was decent, but I expect better from Hart/Taker.

I liked that Hart/Taker match but they had better matches (Summerslam 97 and One Night Only 97) me thinks.

The following PPV is IYH: Rage in a Cage. Awesome HBK v Owen Hart match and the Bret/Diesel match in a cage is solid.

The following IYH was in Omaha. I was there. Last Diesel and Razor Ramon matches in WWF.
