Steve was the third and final original partner in the group. He was getting a certain percentage throughout that the Robinsons didn't want to split anymore.

Also, he wrote a book.

It was all positivity in 2005 too...then CR slowly started pulling his ego trip and it all fell apart...it'll happen again...the story about the Fillmore in 2005 that Steve told on the Maron podcast (I believe that was the one) kind of summed it all up

The only thing that was a "drag" about Magpie was ticket sales...hence Rich coming back to something he won't lose his shirt on...I can't even necessarily blame him, I just wish there was a chance that Magpie could tour again...but which guys from that band aside from maybe Sven is going to want to deal with that bullshit?

Steve was no longer a full partner in Black Crowes Inc...I believe they may have had a setup similar to Pearl Jam where Matt Cameron is a member of Pearl Jam TOURING LLC, but not a member of Pearl Jam LLC...he's even said there's about 15 layers to that whole thing that would supposedly bore most people, but if anything, I'd be kinda fascinated to hear about it

If the band sounds halfway decent, I may go if I were to end up with free tickets from a radio station or something...but the band kinda sounded like ass the other day IMO...I'm sure it'll get better (not sure it can get worse)...I mean, Live Nation doesn't give a shit about selling these places out or coming anywhere close...anything they paid the Brothers in advance would've been factored in with the likely draw...some of the maps on TM are downright embarrassing...lots of seats sold down front, and a sea of blue (available) dots behind that

I think what may be most amazing is their ability to, for 30 years now, just say whatever shit fits the narrative they want out there at any particular time, with no regard for anything said in the past or any regard for how those things will look in the future. Like the utter lack of self awareness is seriously amazing...bewildering almost.

Oh, but kudos to Chris for finally admitting he named his band what he did just to be a fucking dick

First, I would be so happy if KD were the opening act.
Second, she would blow them off the stage every night. Chris has lost his upper range in the videos. No jamming and restricted voice = no chance of being stellar.
Third, Shadowlands by KD is an all-time album for me. Niche for sure but all-time.
