It was very strange how the guy was able to walk right up to them and raise his gun for several seconds with no reaction from any of them. I imagine doing a segment and interview like that kind of gives you blinders to what is around you though.

So I did some fun with math earlier this morning...

I found a survey saying that gun ownership is actually on the decline in the US, with 1 in 3 households having guns, and 22 percent personally owning them, for about 70 million people. Now, we all know about the sheer number of guns in this country--it's at .88 guns per resident, for a total of about 281 million guns. Putting those two numbers together, the average number of guns per gun owner comes out at exactly 4.

Now I want to know how many people own just one gun, just to see how many the real gun fans might have.

The thing that keeps coming to my mind about this shooting is that every news article describes a 'woman' being shot and killed, then goes on to note that her age was 24.

All I can think is, "That's basically a child." He killed a child. This is someone who was still attending pep rallies in 2009, and her story is over.

Also, 24 year olds shouldn't be reporting any kind of news. It's silly.

Chris Rock still has the best idea I've heard about this subject. No gun control, rather bullet control. Have all the guns you want, but buying bullets will cost you $5000.

I try to read similar/same stories from different sources (Fox, CNN, Al Jazeera, etc.) and I found myself looking at the comment section on Fox.
