This arrived today! The disc labeled "Disc 1" was actually Disc 2. The Disc labeled "Disc 2" was Disc 1 from some random Bruce Springsteen show. An irate email requesting a replacement set of FLAC files and a partial refund is en route to the Nugs peeps as we speak.Kevin Davis wrote:Somewhat odd update on this. So, on 12/30 I ordered Vault 6, and a Bruce Springsteen show -- both from Nugs. I emailed them about two weeks in, annoyed that I hadn't received any confirmation updates on either purchase, despite the fact that my card was charged immediately. They assured me that my order was in queue, and that they were just behind due to the holidays. No problem, I said -- I get that. But then another week went by and I started to get pissed -- I understand delays, but three weeks to burn a damn CD and stuff it in an envelope? My experience with Nugs in the past has been rocky enough for me to not really trust them unconditionally, so I emailed them back and said that if they didn't think they could get my orders out within 48 hours, I'd prefer to just cancel. They replied and, good news, they were pushing my order through that day! Awesome. Shipping notices soon followed.Kevin Davis wrote:I ordered "Vault 6" with some Christmas gift money and I am waiting for the shipping confirmation email. I haven't received it yet, but in the time I've been watching I think I've received 3 different emails about various clothing products and posters that are now available.
That was last Friday. The Springsteen discs arrived today, lovely as ever. The PJ discs however are stuck in "pre-shipment," which Googling suggests to mean that they are sitting somewhere waiting for the USPS to come get them. Ten Club sent me an email yesterday saying that my order was "in queue" at their warehouse for shipping. This struck me as odd, considering that they were (presumably) manufactured and packaged on the same day in the same place. Ultimately this is no big deal, but I'm fascinated by what is going on: Does Ten Club have Nugs ship the stuff back to them, only to turn around and re-send it themselves? How have they managed to make it so that, even when their product is but one of many and the transaction is handled entirely by a third party, it's still a pain in the ass to do business with them?
Nugs sucks. Viva Kufala.
Burning a CDR without gaps is hard.Kevin Davis wrote:This arrived today! The disc labeled "Disc 1" was actually Disc 2. The Disc labeled "Disc 2" was Disc 1 from some random Bruce Springsteen show. He could pull this off for $20.bodysnatcher wrote:Start a contest on the 10c forums and ask for the best Pearl Jam poetry and fan fictions. Winners get $500 in 10c gift cards, and we get a lifetime of material to laugh at.
Nugs would not give me FLAC files and a partial refund, so I complained to 10C who gave me FLAC files and a full refund. So I just burned the CD's myself and put them in the sleeve that the mispressed discs came in. Score.Kevin Davis wrote:This arrived today! The disc labeled "Disc 1" was actually Disc 2.
