I ran on one of those spongy faux-asphalt tracks today. My god was it comfortable. Not really a fan of running around in circles but I might make this track part of my routine once or twice a week. You forget how nice surfaces can be when you're always running on a pavement hellscape.

It snowed so today was the first day I had to run on the road. I always run trails.

I didn't know you were a mostly trails guy. Respect. That world is not for me. I pound the pavement gratefully.

Tonight my wife asked what kind of shoes I run in because she finally wants to ditch her ratty Saucony Freedom ISOs. I ordered her some Boston 9s that were like 70 bucks on sale. Hope they fit right.

In the latter half of 2019 I was purely running on mountain bike trails in the mountains. My elevation gained was usually in the ballpark of 500 meters.

I am getting less than one run in per week lately. And now it’s getting dark and cold by the time I am home from work.

Fucked around and ran 43 miles this week. Beautiful weather. Also eclipsed 1,000 miles for the year. With my shoulder operation and covid floating around, that's something I'm happy to have done.
