Rogue One is better than The Force Awakens, and maybe as good as The Last Jedi.

These new movies have great production, but I just can't get into some of the stuff. I think Rogue One gets bogged down in too much story (if that makes sense). There are too many threads going on that don't make it feel like a cohesive story.

I'm sorry, I see where you are coming from. I guess it would make sense to separate Rogue One and Solo since they are one-shots, and keep TFA and TLJ to the other side, since they are part of the saga.
