Watching a film called Hanover street, based in WWII, made in 1979...proves that Harrison Ford really does just play Han Solo in every film he's in. No bad thing.

I saw Midnight a couple weeks ago. It was equally great. I really don't think I could rank them, though. They're all really great in their own way. Midnight has the best scene (the hotel fight). Sunset has the best ending. Sunrise has some of the best little moments, where you can really feel the love. It's such a great series. I really hope they decide to make more of these.LoathedVermin72 wrote:Yeah, the series improves with each entry. I'm lukewarm on Sunrise, but yes, Sunset is terrific. Especially that ending, hoo-boy. But Midnight is just on another level.durdencommatyler wrote:LoathedVermin72 wrote:I'm sure you'll love Before Midnight. It's leagues better than the first two, and that's not a knock on the first two.![]()
I really liked the first one and goddamn adore the second.

I watched the latest Transformers. It wasn't nearly as bad as you goons made it out to be. The human element may have been better than in the previous two movies. It's not meant to be art; it's a movie about a fucking toy.

Re: What movies are you watching?
finally saw The Babadook, which was very good.
here's a nice list: http://thedissolve.com/features/2014-in ... s-of-2014/
there's a lot to admire there, particularly their top three (though i think the best film of the year is Nightcrawler). also very glad to see The Lego Movie, Guardians, and Listen Up, Philip.
as for disappointments, there's no way Snowpiercer or Only Lovers Left Alive should have been included. probably not Obvious Child, either, though i think jenny slate was a little wonder.
very excited to see Two Days, One Night and Inherent Vice

Just for shits I watched The Raven. Holy hell has John Cusack fallen down. I thought he'd be a mega star by now, instead he's a watered down Nic Cage.

I thought it was a perfectly sentimental way to wrap up the the trilogy. I know I'm not alone in feeling like I was Andy. I'm bummed to have seen recent news of plans for a 4th movie.
