if the right are going to blame everything that is bad on wokeness then the left can blame everything on racists
see how easy that is
see how easy that is
Well if you want to be like them, be my guest, but as I said, I wouldn't blame everything on it.Peeps wrote:if the right are going to blame everything that is bad on wokeness then the left can blame everything on racists

Duh. I mixed up my left and rightepilogue wrote:The left isn't blaming the housing crisis on racism.
That's a relief!epilogue wrote:The left isn't blaming the housing crisis on racism.
Then we can add it to the list things they are wrong aboutepilogue wrote:The left isn't blaming the housing crisis on racism.

Yea actually bi3 has a point. It's not all racism. But housing laws, loans, zoning, as a very racist past. Not really why we have skyrocketing costs but it's all a large intricate system that has brought us here todayBi_3 wrote:Yeah dude, don’t cross my redliningepilogue wrote:As always you know bestBi_3 wrote:Then we can add it to the list things they are wrong aboutepilogue wrote:The left isn't blaming the housing crisis on racism.
It’s also why Mayor Pete doesn’t like freeways.Strat wrote:Yea actually bi3 has a point. It's not all racism. But housing laws, loans, zoning, as a very racist past. He doesn't have a point. You have a point. There are (and always have been) racist practices in housing, you're absolutely right and my post wasn't about that. But, as usual, Bi needed to move the goal posts to score points against... checks notes... strangers on an internet Pearl Jam message board.Strat wrote:Yea actually bi3 has a point. If pointing to the some of the system level rationale the left uses to demonstrate how racism helped cause the housing crisis is not a justified criticism of your post, what kind of reply would you have preferred? Help me respond better.epilogue wrote:He doesn't have a point. You have a point. There are (and always have been) racist practices in housing, you're absolutely right and my post wasn't about that. In my way of approaching, I do google searches like these:
site:jacobin.com housing crisis racism
site:commondreams.org housing crisis racism
site:motherjones.com housing crisis racism
And find things like this:
Mother Jones: For Black Americans, It’s Not a Housing Crisis. It’s a Chronic Condition
And I think... kind seems like that is exactly what the left media is doing. Not exclusively, nothing is monocausal, but I find it's a pretty dominant theme with direct evidence presented as to why racism is a key driver and it's good to get educated on those ideas and understand the thinking behind them even if you disagree with the conclusions that come from them. Steelman everything.
It would be totally fine and justified. You didn't do that. Nothing in "then we can add it to the list things they are wrong about" conveys what you wrote above. You want to better respond? Respond. Say what you mean. Stop trying to dunk all the time. If you have something to say, fucking say it.Bi_3 wrote:If pointing to the some of the system level rationale the left uses to demonstrate how racism helped cause the housing crisis is not a justified criticism of your post, what kind of reply would you have preferred?
