I guess it does make sense in a way. The Marlins are just doing Marlins things by selling players to save money. The Braves are just doing Braves things by making dumb trades.
I would have thought you could get a better return for Latos than simply the ability to dump Morse's money. Like you said though, Marlins being Marlins.

I don't think I can handle this. Holy shit.

I'm really worried what the pri... cost... will be in prospects. I'm sure Norris will be in there, but I'm concerned either Pompey or Alford will be too.

But... I mean... holy shit!

Obviously.

Honestly, they've all found themselves on top-50 prospects lists within the last year. They're big names. I would think one of them plus some other solid prospects would get it done for a rental, but... I don't know. I was 9 the last time I was in this position as a fan. I don't know how to react.

Of course, it's still very early, so it could all fall apart in a hurry.

If Alford is in it too (which Ken Rosenthal is suggesting) then I really hope the Jays are looking at bringing Cespedes back, too.

Do you think Porcello would sign an extension, though? Might take close to $20 million per year.

Hey, I said Porcello had top of the rotation potential. I was super high on him coming into the season.
