I think he simply means to illustrate the point that conservative or right-of-centre ideas (leaving aside the issue that Trump isn't remotely conservative) are often seen as being held by people who are ignorant, prejudiced, stupid, etc. Liberal ideas are presented as being more informed, intelligent, considered, ethical, etc. You don't see that in this very thread?

Why is that dumb article implying that the Katy Perry video is some sort of anti-Trump thing? It's literally just a comedy video encouraging people to go out and vote. Katy Perry and her fans may be largely liberal but that is not an anti-Trump video.

OK, I'm with you there. If we could all just get along and not say, "I'm right, you're wrong" it would be better. There are good Liberal ideas and there are good Conservative ideas...it's just rare that people are allowed to say that sentence and not get lambasted by both sides.
It's like the B in LGBT.

Yeah, I know, I haven't watched the Katy Perry video but, even from the description given in the article, it has nothing to do with Trump. I think he just riffs off that to some general observations about liberal celebrities, etc. Like I said, it really didn't have much to do with the rest of the article; it's just an attention-grabbing headline/intro that's quickly moved away from.

I used to dislike the electoral college system
but after Trump gets waxed by it
I will be relieved that the United States does not have a proportional representation system

Sorry, but if you're not an idiot and someone at a political rally talks like that at you, you leave.

Even a paper that started life as The Republican has woken up to the fact that a Trumpocracy might not be in the country's best interests.

If Trump wins, does 4chan or Reddit get the credit?

'Just try to picture Trump negotiating with a world leader or addressing the nation after a tragedy or responding to a crisis. You can't.'
Good point.
