Didn't Stone say they had a few songs that didn't make Lightning Bolt but they were keeping in mind for #11?

They're probably better than Can't Deny Me.LetMeSleep wrote:Fucking hell.rick malone wrote:Didn't Stone say they had a few songs that didn't make Lightning Bolt but they were keeping in mind for #11?
"Can't Deny Me" is a song by the American alternative rock band Pearl Jam, released as the first single from their upcoming as-yet-untitled eleventh studio album. The song was released on March 10, 2018 as a digital download exclusively on Pearl Jam's Ten Club fan club. "Can't Deny Me" peaked at No. 11 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock chart.

entertaining question, for sure. one the one hand, i'd say 3:1, because i'm sure they think it's great and it's also one less song to write. on the other, they may have realized it was a flop, and want to try something different. if that's true, it's a bit scary, because we know what they create when they try and make modern hits.evenslow wrote:Odds that Can't Deny Me makes the next album (should be seen as separate from odds that next album ever comes out).
10/1???
i really hope it's not wishful thinking and willful naivete to think that they realize it just doesn't cut it and they can spin it like "we had so many other songs we decided to leave it as a single instead of putting it on the album."bodysnatcher wrote:entertaining question, for sure. one the one hand, i'd say 3:1, because i'm sure they think it's great and it's also one less song to write. on the other, they may have realized it was a flop, and want to try something different. if that's true, it's a bit scary, because we know what they create when they try and make modern hits.evenslow wrote:Odds that Can't Deny Me makes the next album (should be seen as separate from odds that next album ever comes out).

Gone is fucking great. I love it so much.Anders wrote:I like Gone quite a lot. A pretty good modern-era Pearl Jam song. The studio album production is a little off.
I prefer the single version we got in the post. Nice atmosphere.durdencommatyler wrote:Gone is fucking great. I love it so much.Anders wrote:I like Gone quite a lot. A pretty good modern-era Pearl Jam song. The studio album production is a little off.
