dave's been doing that for a couple of years. i have a theory that it was willie nelson's idea b/c dave started covering it right after playing a willie nelson tribute. my favorite song writer covering my other favorite song writer with a song that was in my wedding. kinda awesome.

i've been hearing dmb cover 'severed hand' in my head for years. hopefully willie nelson has the same idea.

it's my second favorite dave song, and way easier to play than most of his songs. it's amazing he can turn something so simple into something so giant and profound.
