She is not mention at all in all the new canon stuff, movies, series, games, books, comic books...now she is coming back as the hand of the emperor?

You clearly havent read the books. You would understand this one better.
Why have Thrawn?
EXACTLY!!!
You're being obtuse. Answer the question.

So you don't think they should reintroduce anyone from the old extended universe, no matter what?

Im against of bringing characters of the old canon into the new one. You already tossed those out. But if, for some reason...you want them back, ok but those characters meant something because of who they were. Dont give me a new baddie and just called him Thrawn. Give me the old blue fucker.

Whats your favorite SW character? Rey? well what if in 5 years they decided she is not canon anymore and then, boom Rey is back!! But know she is just a girl who works on the republic. Is the same character ? no. Why the fuck name her Rey?

Haven't seen this before, although it's probably here somewhere:

A recent tweet from the official Star Wars Twitter commented on new character Babu Frik when a fan site said their pug would look great in the costume.

The Star Wars account tweeted: "14/10, this pup would make a great droidsmith!"

Fans have since been speculating that October 14 is the trailer release date for The Rise of Skywalker.

Thrawn is the same character now as he was back then. He IS the old blue fucker. Why couldn't Mara be the same?

They won't decide Rey isn't canon so that's a non-starter and there's no reason to discuss that. It's 100% different.

If it's truly a good character, then why not give it new life and depth? It seems completely stupid and close-minded to just throw away a good idea like that.

Then its weird you decided to thrown away it the first time.

Mara Jade is so linked to a lot of stuff that happened in the now legends stuff, that it would weird to have her back. You could bring her back by saying ¨hey we didnt mention this at all but it happened anyway¨ and that would be ok. Lame, yes.

Matt Martin from the Lucasfilm Story Group the period between TLJ and TROS:

"We knew we had to take the Resistance from being the, basically, who would fit into the Millennium Falcon, and [build them into being] big enough to stand against the First Order by Galaxy’s Edge, and continue to grow into Rise of Skywalker," Martin explained. "Basically, just tracking all these things that need to happen — including Poe’s arc, where they get all of their ships — all of this stuff interconnected and then interwoven into this massive timeline that then got broken down into each of these individual books that all of these lovely people got to write."

Different projects published under the Journey to the Rise of Skywalker banner fulfill different needs, it was established; Justina Ireland’s Spark of the Resistance, set in the immediate aftermath of The Last Jedi, sees Rey, Rose Tico and BB-8 discover a distant planet that’s home to a mysterious weapon that could turn the tide against the First Order, while Rebecca Roahorse’s Resistance Reborn novel deals with Poe Dameron’s role in rebuilding the Resistance while struggling with his guilt about his role in the destruction of the fleet.

The comic book series Allegiance, meanwhile, follows General Leia and Rey as they try to find new allies for their cause, while Finn and Poe attempt to rebuild the Resistance’s supply of weapons — all during Kylo Ren’s increasingly brutal attempt to find where Rey has disappeared to after escaping Crait.

The whole extended first look trailer is playing in front of joker in the US. Looks amazing on the big screen I’m told. Sadly not happening here

A bit strange that we can only name one person on the dark side there.
