Just don't even start the discussion of whether anyone will be an all time great until at least a few more years.. jeez
people are saying that Mahomes will probably have a tougher year because of all the time teams have had to study him
I love the guy and I wish him nothing but the best

Me too. He's like Jon Kitna but better. Sure he hasn't been an elite QB, but he's been there when a team needed him. Or, when 11 teams needed him. (Not counting the Harford Colonials)
*edit - Not Jon Kitna. I don't know who I'm thinking of, but Kitna is not it.

This is what I'm saying. Being a Chiefs fan and tuning into the overall fan discourse is crazy right now. I'm honestly curious what people outside of the fanbase think of Mahomes. Right now.
To me it's the same kind of hype that was around RG III. But another great season will definitely make me think he's in the top tier of
current QB's
He's such a different kind of player/passer than RG3 but I take your point. Obviously, I love the kid. He's easy to root for. But people in KC are losing their goddamn minds.
Agreed, all this talk is way too premature but that's sport talk radio. Anyway, it wasn't too long ago when people on this board were firm that Peyton was better than Brady - despite all the obvious evidence this wasn't true - so, the name of the game is wait and see what happens.

idk man, apparently that kid the Patriots drafted to replace Brady when he retires is playing like... Brady.
Jarrett Stidham is the rookie QB. The best part is that it looks like he's good enough to be the backup, so that Pats won't have to carry three QBs. Hoyer will have to find another home. Beyond that, we're keeping expectations low, hopes high.

I'll still argue that Peyton fucking Manning is the better pure talent & QB. I think Brady is the monster Belichick made. Not that Brady isn't great, too. He absolutely is. But Belichick is the legend of that franchise.
Peyton with Belichick would have exploded the universe. And, to be clear, I goddamn hate Peyton fucking Manning.

I'm actually going to get to watch some of the Chiefs 3rd preseason game.
First NFL football I've been able to watch in real time this year.
