LOL. One day after beating a bad Texas team, the national sports media is calling Notre Dame a national title contender. Wake me up after they play Clemson and USC.

The have such a weak schedule year to year any time they have a decent team they have to be in the conversation though.

Braxton Miller is the best player on OSU and a better qb than Jamarcus Jones and the other guy.

I know this is going to be talked about a lot this year but I just looked at Ohio State's remaining schedule for the first time. Yikes.

I can get down with using Jamarcus as a slur on QBs. That said, I don't think it should be applied to Cardale Jones, at least at this point.

This is the effect of the new system and being easily the best team in an awful conference. They have 3 weeks of absolutely nothing for the rest of this month and really no competition until January.

It's a little over played though. Ohio State is the odds on favorite for this year going back a couple of years now. They already won last season when they really had no business doing so because Urban out coached everybody (Lane Kiffin forgot about Derrick Henry and wet his pants).

If I had some kind of question as to how good they were I'd be more concerned, but I'm not really. They are the best team in football right now, I'm not sure how close it is, even if the conference is so very far away. They found a way to lose to VA Tech last year, maybe someone in the B1G can have a good day. I mean hell, they almost lost to Penn State last year.

I agree they are likely the best team. I just wish their schedule allowed them to be challenged more. I want to see good competition.

Yeah, took me a second (or a day) to get it.

I wish the schedule was better too. I wish they weren't stuck playing garbage Illinois this year, but it's nice that they don't have another road game until 10/24. Looking forward to the B1G going to 9 games.

I liked hearing West Virginia's coach call out for the rest of the country to stop scheduling FCS teams.

They surprised me these past few years....lifted themselves out of mediocrity.

Now they can play with any team, and have a legit chance at beating them. Any team..
