Stone said in the intro that Matt played the drums himself on this, even if the idea started out by using a drum machine, he then decided to drum like the machine himself.

The second time around, I mean.
I keep hearing that as well.
Yes
I definitely hear "ignore" the first time. Plus, it makes more sense - not that's necessarily a given with Ed.

The second one could be endure, for sure.

Beck seems to be making somewhat similar career decisions these days, as an example. Jack White's last album was also heavily based in more atmosphere, texture, and rhythm on the last go around.

Like I said, I AM really enjoying it. I just don't want to see the hype train barrel away just yet. I'm already too late, aren't I? :D
Don't worry. RM knows how to stop a train when the time comes.
well, as soon as a dance line forms to this song in GA, it's over...

I hear a lot of small varients in what is being sung vs. what appears in the lyrics, but that's par for the course (plus his annunciation has always obscured what he is actually saying)

I've been standing here staring at my work computer with the biggest grin on my face. I know we grade PJ on a curve now but this song is fantastic. I am so happy they had this song in them. So happy.

there's a few things there I think are wrong. First I thought maybe that ? was in the liner sheets. It looks like a screenshot of liner notes, but I don't know if anyone just created that.

I was thinking that was an official-looking-but-not-official stab at the lyrics.

I listened on my headphones and can see why you all like it so much now. Last night I was listening on my phone's speaker and Ed sounded laughable. I'm still not completely on board but can see why you like it.
