Surprised Jackass wasn't higher. Those are usually free money. Though this one will be profitable anyway.

Yeah doesn't look good for MotU but it's possible it could do well on Amazon...they might not be overly concerned with the box office.....or they are freaking out and its done.
I absolutely loved He-Man and She-Ra as a kid.
Trailer for the He-Man movie looked so bad. So, so bad.

I knew a new Jackass was coming out this year since Knoxville was doing the podcast roundup a few months back but had no idea it came out already. Haven't seen one advert.

Minions have fallen. End of an era. Truly, Hollywood is dead.

Summer box office got off to a hot start, but it's kinda fizzling out. Moana is looking pretty soft.
Spider-Man will probably be a big hit, but I wonder.
Isn't it kinda unusual to have such a big movie that late in the summer?

Spider man is tracking great and The Odyssey should be huge too.
Horror might have more huge hits; Resident Evil Probably will be one

Moana bombed. hopefully that will kill off Disney's live action movies and The Rock's career.

Yeah, stop with those horrible live action movies really. They have been bombing since what; lion king maybe?

Lilo and Stitch made a lot I think. But most of them have been pretty low lately.

Makes sense. Little kids like cartoons. Then they grow up and like live action. But they still love nostalgia so Disney makes a love action version of the cartoon they love and rake in the bucks. The kids who liked Moana are still kids, they still want cartoons

Plus, I think the kids are weirded out by The Rock in that wig

This is my read as well. They needed to wait longer...preferably until the kids that grew up with Moana had kids of their own to bring.

The Odyssey is up to about $640m worldwide (well on track to making over a billion) and only dropped 30% domestically during its second weekend. Those sure are numbers.

And they are about to premiere in China with 800 screens or something like that. Huge.
