Don't you try and compare this crap to the likes of Happy When I'm Crying.

I'm totally on board with this. PJ needed to make this record

I'm increasingly certain that PHATJ is here to remind me what it was like to live in a college dorm in the 1990's.

...on his way home to post about Super Mario, yes.

No bad thing to him. It's just PHATJ Pilgrim has come unstuck in time. That's all.

Can you further explain this so I can try to understand what you are talking about? Maybe include an example or two.

I like the record. It's fun, its brisk, its nothing spectacular.

Unthought Known, Speed Of Sound, Force of Nature, and The End are all winners imo.

Still hate Got Some, though. My opinion has never changed on this. It is such mediocre drivel.

Listened to Backspacer today.
It's aged well. Great little record.
Supersonic is a load of fun and Force of nature, which I'll never understand why it's buried at the back end.

I think I agree with most of this. Which is kinda scary. Not sure I'd say "Great" though.

Well it sounds like pearl jam and a comfortable place in the writing. It's a much more naturally Pj album whereas lightning bolt sounds a bit forced or even contrived.

It's too soon for a renaissance to happen to us all for Backspacer.
I reckon a lot of people will like it for what it is once they've gone back and listened to it again.
