The PS3 will NOT play .mkvs directly. But it can stream them using PS3 Media Server on the host machine. It works surprisingly well and is simple to set up.

Try :http://www.appgeeker.com/topics/convert-mkv-to-avi-mac.html to convert the incompatible mkv files to avi that PS3 reads well.

It is. I'm enjoying the rural areas the most so far.

I want to get this but I have an older 360 from I think 2008 and I've been reading GTA has been crashing on those because its so huge. Anyone had that issue?

I have an older xbox. There is an issue where you can't install the 2nd disc on the HD. So you install disc 1 and play off disc 2. You CAN actually install disc 2 unto a flashdrive and play off that though. Supposedly that is the best work around.
I just play how they recommend. Install disc 1 and let disc 2 spin while I play. I'll be sad if the xbox dies, but if something's going to kill it it might as well be GTAV!

How much space does disc 1 take up? Hope I have enough for it...

It's about 8GB

me too . it seems like they changed the flying mechanics from previous games. i managed to complete the training course on my first attempt but it wasn't pretty.

Not me. Had a hard time keeping a good speed.

Picked up gta5, haven't played a gta since vice city, should be pretty fun.

I actually played my first ever anything online today, with one game of NHL HUT against a random opponent. I lost 2-0, but it was fun!

watched some of the live stream of Battlefiled 4 multiplayer beta yesterday. i realize it was the PC version, but still really excited for the 360/One. 64 players? Domination? COD what?

now just have to convince enough friends to pick the game up instead of COD.

My interest in gaming has been fading fast of late. I feel old for the first time.
