Lots of bands use backing tracks live, U2 is one of those bands. It's a common practice in the music industry going back to the 60s.

It's not hard to research.

Pearl jam songs that use loops? And are played from the desk?
You are, pendulum, others?

If Pearl Jam had a group of additional musicians playing under the stage, the RM response would make the reaction to The Fixer seem quaint in comparison.

Unless the musician under the stage was Boom.

U2 have their guitar techs under the stage and their sound Desk. Doubt there's even a 'hidden' keyboard player as its all programmed.

We're looking for BoB in all the wrong places.

The name of the U2 keyboard player under the stage? His name is Terry Lawless.

Look him up as he is the keyboard tech for the band.

Fine. BoB is above the stage. Bon Jovi is below it. The rest are just mannequins. You can almost see the strings on Matt.

And I'll say again,

But you'll pay how much to see pearl jam featuring an Eddie vedder that is car crash bad on vocal and lyrics about 40% the time?

I've seen PJ 38 times and U2 6 or 7 times and U2 have been consistently excellent every single time. PJ don't come close.

If they did go to some extra effort to enhance their experience I think we'd all be grateful. Ie tv screen at eds feet with lyrics as Bruce has, and maybe a tempo version of live auto tune to slow them down some :haha:

That would be interesting to see, and hear. Eddie and Stone pushing buttons on stage for the purpose of sweetening Eddie's vocals. :haha:

They could just drown Eddies vocals in reverb like Chris Cornell does.

There doesn't seem to be a dedicated U2 thread so I'll post this here.

Little bird told me U2 are gonna be touring Joshua Tree around the states in the New Year. They're having difficulty with Songs of experience so they're gonna tour JT. I guess that's a good sign. And if Bruce can do it with the River, why not them.
