Just FYI.
Will you be going to that, bammer?
No sir.

Weezer is playing near Seattle that night though. Probably gonna do that.

Don't forget DMB's annual residency at the Gorge on Labor Day weekend. Or rather, do forget it.

The Gorge wouldn't surprise me but I imagine it would be sometime in July, between their tours. I can't imagine they would play the Gorge in between the two huge stadium shows and I can't imagine that they'd play the Gorge in September after their tour cycle is done.

I want to go to the MSG shows....Im assuming so many people will want to that the #2 preference is basically an impossible selection, and that if I dont get my #1 Im screwed.

So I really have to decide which I want.

Im thinking Reserved will be a better chance of getting tickets?

The chances are not good no matter how you pick, you are choosing the most highly desirable show in a city with the world's best scalpers and more 10c members in the metro area than there are seats in the venue, but IIRC reserved ended with better odds to win at Barclay's in 2013. This one is going to be ticketmaster for me.

Looking to attend: Raleigh, Columbia, Philly, MSG.

PS: There seems to be some buffer around the QC show. Maybe another Canadian show will get added. London in 2013 was great, an under-appreciated gem from that year and possibly the last non-GA show.

DMB is not on the Gorge calendar but you're right, count on it.

Some are thinking Europe during that July gap. I wouldn't be surprised to see Gorge in September. They've done it before and July there is so damn hot!

b_i_revisited wrote:Outside of people in the ATL (and why skip DC again?), I can't see how anyon can really be upset at this. 4 massive and easy to get to stadium shows, the long awaited return to MSG, two at fan fav Philly, a Florida run before hurricane season, and 3 (hampton roads basically makes 4) shows in the Carolinas... I'm happy.
This tour is killing me. The Philly dates line up so nicely on the weekend, Phillies have a home series, cheap flights/hotels, and cheesesteaks. Except my wife would divorce me so I'm out.

For those who attended the first Wrigley show...outside of the rain and delay, what was the experience like?

I had a great time. I didn't do the merch lines though. I thought the experience would have been an A+ if not for the heat and rain.

I agree, I had seats in a decent group of people. The delay just tainted the whole experience - food/beer and restroom lines were unimaginable. Plus trying to get anywhere at 2am when it ended was a nightmare.

To me the draw of Wrigley is not there anymore. They did it once, now get back to the Allstate Arena and blow the roof off the dump.

Oh good lord, I can only imagine. This is my impression of the official Forum on the PJ site also. I've spent a few minutes in there ... sparingly here and there when I needed specific info ... but god dammit, it really is like a cult. Kinda like what the 12's have become in Seattle. There are fans, there dedicated fans, and then there are 12's.

Maybe hard to explain if you're not around it, but it's basically Seahawks fans who treat the whole thing like a cult. The worst are the self proclaimed die hards that really don't know much about football.

Heat didn't bother me, didn't go into the merch lines outside, walked in no lines get all the merch you want. I'm from Milwaukee so we had a good group. Had a lot of fun, but......my seats were horrible. I have a great 10c number and I couldn't see the stage except for Mike. Could barely see the screens. Sound wasn't good from where I was. Than the rain delay killed what was going to be a great setlist.
While I understand it, and since he's gone I'm sure Ed is glad he did it, the Ernie Banks thing dragged out forever and didn't help the mood after the long delay.

Here's my 2 cents,
If you want to go and want the best chances pick reserved.
Every jack hole in the world is going for GA.
I have gotten reserved seats for all the shows I wanted including Wrigley.

Watching the odds change, I get the impression that a lot of people have decided to wait until the last second to make their picks. That strategy doesn't work if 1/2 the 10c is doing it.
