The originals were a big part of my childhood, Joey.durdencommatyler wrote:Again, let me know when/if you do see it. I'd love your thoughts on it. Especially as someone a tad younger than me and a little further removed from the original films.
same here, but without a wife.spike wrote:there's a good chance my wife an i will see this over the weekend, as it will be hotter than the surface of the sun outside.

It is gonna be hot.
The weather is going to be hot, like spike said. Not me watching Ghostbusters alone.Kaius wrote:Uh. WhatE.H. Ruddock wrote:same here, but without a wife.spike wrote:there's a good chance my wife an i will see this over the weekend, as it will be hotter than the surface of the sun outside.

I hope you enjoy at least some of it. It's nowhere near as bad as the trailers made it look, I promise. I can't say you'll love it but I'll be shocked if you think it's completely terrible.Strat wrote:We might see this tonight.

I totally glossed over the "without wife" part. I'm sorry.E.H. Ruddock wrote:The weather is going to be hot, like spike said. Not me watching Ghostbusters alone.Kaius wrote:Uh. WhatE.H. Oh. Alright. Well, I still want to know what you think of it.cutuphalfdead wrote:The originals were a big part of my childhood, Joey.durdencommatyler wrote:Again, let me know when/if you do see it. This is basically me, too.Kaius wrote:I was all in on Ghostbusters when I was a kid. I didn't see them until they were airing on USA Network in the early 90s, but they left a strong impression and the follow up cartoon series and video games and toys were all childhood staples.
I also groaned when I first heard about this movie. And I groaned again when I saw the first preview. And I groaned (in my head) a couple of times when watching the movie.
Having said all of that: I had a lot of fun watching this and I think they did an overall really good job with the "reboot". I would watch it again and I look forward to seeing these characters again in a sequel.
Kate McKinnon.
