Yeah, for sure. What would Summerteeth have to do to get higher in your ranking, Trag? To me, that one strikes a good balance between heaviness and on-the-go listenability.

i'm surprised at how lowly both of you have being there ranked. some of the most iconic wilco songs are from that album, and it flows so perfectly.

to me, it's just a jeff tweedy solo album

Being There feels more like a compilation to me, best way I can put it. When I look at the track listing, I’m reminded that it’s got a lot of my favorite Wilco songs, but I just never seem to be able to make it through the entire album in one listen unless I’m on a solo road trip. I can’t remember the last time I was on a solo road trip, though.

Would there be any interest in LAL’ing Wilco albums for the next few weeks? If so, what do you guys think a reasonable amount of time to spend with each album and discuss should be?

I did it yesterday. There’s some hummable songs on there even if they are forgettable. It just sucks as an album. It would be fun to get everyone’s thoughts on it while we listen.

I also really enjoy I might, sunloathe, dawned on men, Born Alone, and One Sunday Morning

Not sure why this album gets such a negative review.

I think it’s because you just listed the only memorable songs on there. I don’t mean to sound snarky or dismissive, but I don’t know how else to say it. There’s just not that many good songs on there and it’s not cohesive at all.

Nah, Standing O is and Whole Love pretty good as well. Far more interesting than more recent stuff.

That's half the record being pretty darn decent.

The Whole Love should have been a 7 inch: A: Art of Almost B: One Sunday Morning.
