Tough to tell if those songs are any good from two super long YouTube videos that sound the same.

Exactly what I thought.
Also, what I heard in listening to parts of these are that it sounds exactly like what you'd expect, and very derivative of their previous work. I'm not asking for fucking free jazz or anything, but after such a long break it would be cool to hear a band not repeat themselves yet again.

Those videos actually got me pretty excited for the new album. Sure the sound quality is super shitty - but I could still hear brilliance there. Yeah Tool sounds like Tool, but I didn't really think it sounded derivative of their other stuff

Fuck yeah. They usually have ace packaging of their physical cds and their music sonically deserves better than what Spotify can manage.

It’s in the last 10 CD’s that I have purchased, maybe last 12.
In that time I have purchased CD’s from:
Pearl Jam
Soundgarden
Alice In Chains
Counting Crows
Caspar Babypants

On page 3, it had already been 7 years since their last album.

I think the last CD I bought was The Dillinger Escape Plan's Dissociation. I really have no use for CDs anymore.

Neither. I did buy Welcome to Sky Valley from an op shop a few months ago, though. Before then it was Kasabian's Empire some 12 years ago. Nowhere near as good as their debut.
