BB8's reaction to that big explosion is awesome. They actually captured a droid's expression and emotion!

BB8 looks awesome and seeing Chewie blow shit up - Fuck yea. I kind of like how Ren's saber crackles too!

Everything definitely seems in place for a successful movie. It will certainly hinge on the emotional connection to the new characters and since i love Daisy Ridley :luv:

Red Letter Media's predictions about the film

Don't watch if you're sensitive to potential spoilers, obviously

Some very interesting ideas, but their main point is
Spoiler: show
it's pretty much going to be a beat for beat remake of A New Hope

There are a couple of shots from the trailers that are weird backdoor wink wink references to Lucas' history with Apocalypse Now.

So the female lead gets kidnapped by the bad guys? Is that what I'm seeing? And maybe the rest of the good guys have to save her? Is that right? Cool. What a new concept in the Star Wars world.

I literally got choked up reading this. :luv: :luv: :luv:

Seriously, the emotion in that trailer... Just holding on that opening shot... and the shot of the Tie fighters flying in. You really do feel it. Amazing.

Other than the new scenes, I think this was a more heavy handed introduction to the movie and universe. I liked the previous trailer more.
