Vermis. An instruction manual for some lost and cursed video game. I liked it in concept but think it could have gone further.

Not many of the books you post seem interesting to me, Burt, but that sounds very cool. Is ordering from the EU the only option?

Looks to be about $25 including shipping, so I'm considering it. I guess there's a sequel as well.BurtReynolds wrote:Yeah. i forgot how much it was, but I probably wouldn't pay a lot for it.Simple Torture wrote:Not many of the books you post seem interesting to me, Burt, but that sounds very cool. When does your check arrive?Simple Torture wrote:Looks to be about $25 including shipping, so I'm considering it. Re: What are you currently reading?

This is terrific. A very black satirical comedy. Kind of a fucked up Forrest Gump. And not too long. i approve!

Re: What are you currently reading?

Nature's God
Great book tracing the American revolution and its deism back through Locke to Spinoza and continues to the way back to Epicurus. The middle chapters get a bit dense, but it's pretty readable.
Wild that some backwoods hicks like Ethan Allan could talk about (and even in some cases reverse engineer) Spinozist thoughts about God and nature, while today, supposedly educated people bicker over whether something has adequately checked off enough DEI boxes, or whether Noah's ark really contained two of every animal.
We have devolved.

Re: What are you currently reading?

Didn't get a lot out of it, though i kinda sped through it. I suspect Rousseau is greatly responsible for irreparably brain damaging the European mind, but certainly he wasn't the only one responsible.
I would like one of you parents to raise your child according to this book though. let me know how it turns out.
