You're right, it's not his best picture. Not many of them are, tbf. Just three, which I have saved on my hard drive.

I feel like they already have with MYM. Actually I'd rather listen to Big Wave than any of the three LB songs we have heard so far.

That is because Big Wave is fucking great.
I second this. I fucking hate Supersonic (not to mention the rest of Backspacer), but I have always enjoyed Big Wave. I was a little taken aback by it first as they hadn't really done anything like it before, but then it really grew on me. Love the extended jam at the end of live versions ala the end of Immortality.

As for MYM, I have to say that I do really enjoy it, and would never compare it to Supersonic. The only thing I don't like about MYM is that it's basically just a straight up Dead Kennedys style song, and there's nothing unique, original or "Pearl Jam" about the songwriting. Mike certainly achieved what he set out to. With that said though, I would really be looking forward to this album if they never played Future Days at Wrigley, that song blows hard. I dig Lightning Bolt (the song) though. Hopefully Future Days is an anomaly on the album.

Just saw this on the Pearl Jam facebook site:

Tomorrow. 9am PST. #MindYourManners http://bitly.com/PearlJamYouTube

Any idea(s) what it might be? New song?

I hope during the chorus the statue's mouth will be animated as if it were singing

They've got to do something that cheesy for that part.

I think it'll be an instant classic for a couple of weeks, then pretty good from then on.

By the end of their career, PJ might be known as the band whose every album was called a Return To Form.

I thought the official "Best Since..." line of demarcation (as pronounced by Rolling Stone) was Vitalogy. Somebody call David Fricke.

The PJ Wiki will read: "Despite what every press release had said about every album before it, album #11 was the only true Return To Form according to the fans. Many fans remarked that the album's greatness made Pearl Jam's split shortly afterwards all the more difficult to take."
