Tbh one of the biggest turn offs about vinyl for me is all the different pressings. At some point I just completely stop caring.

I bought a couple records today at a spot that's fairly new in DUMBO. They're celebrating their 3rd anniversary on Sept 7th.
Been trying to check out it forever. Finally got in. Very small. Great vibe.
Grabbed a copy of the RSD translucent vinyl of Wake Up and Smell the Coffee by The Cranberries. When I went to the register the clerk was like, "Every time we get a copy of this in our flies out of here. We can't keep it."
Brooklyn!

If it's not a chipmunks album but it sounds like chipmunks singing, switch from 45 to 33.

Sooo my mom has a friend who recently lost her husband and was left with 400ish records. No idea what kind or what condition, but I am volunteering to catalog them on discogs for her so that she can get a general idea of value.
This is either going to be really fun or a ton of work only to still find out that this collection is better off sold in bulk for peanuts.
I'm supposed to get a look at the collection in a couple of weeks and I'll try to update this thread.
If there's value in some of these, what would be everyone's recommended marketplace?
Aside from the general dopamine hit of cataloging/previewing hundreds of mystery records, I won't be profiting at all from this, but I want to help my mom's friend get them out of her house with a decent payday (her husband's wishes.)
