This trailer is amazing for so many reasons. The music, the cinematography. There's so much to love. But I think my favorite thing is that when I walk away from it, I have more questions than I do answers. There's so much footage. I can piece together several different narrative ideas. This movie could go in so many different directions. That's so refreshing for a trailer, especially a second trailer.

Boring trailer, unlike the amazing TFA trailer. But hopefully this will be a better movie.

Completely agree. I think I'm going to stay away from any other spoilers/trailers now.

Sorry, wrote that right after watching it, without looking at any other post, and now it seems like I just disagreed with durdencommatyler.

Oh, no harm, no foul, buddy. You can disagree with me all day long. Nothing wrong with that.

Let's see
This is almost as ridiculous as them saying that Mark Hamill could be up for an Oscar for his performance

That's a bit harsh. He could well be. Bob iger doesn't say stuff like that lightly. And Disney has bigger clout at the oscars than most.

Did you know they pushed frank oz for his performance of Yoda for nomination? Academy wouldn't have it. And still today doesn't recognise puppeteers(one of the oldest forms of acting) or its modern mo cap equivalent.
Star Wars will never be up for anything outside of sound, effects or costumes

And because I know all you ding-dongs were wondering... yes, I did buy tickets last night. I haven't bought tickets more than a few hours in advance of a movie since Attack of the Clones. And I mean for ANY movie, not just any Star Wars movie.

And I'm going to the midnight screening. Which I haven't done since the Harry Potter films and the The Dark Knight Rises.

That should be a fun experience. I won't do the premiere, but I'll want a really early showing. Get that extra adrenaline.

That shot at toward the front of the trailer that shows Ren's saber on the floor... he's in the equivalent of Snoke's "thrown room." You see the wash of red walls and the feet/robes of the Praetorian guards.

We see that same room toward the end of the trailer when Snoke is "torturing" Rey. We see the same wall and those guards off to our right.

Are both of these images from the same scene? Is Ren gonna attack Snoke to help Rey? Could be interesting.

I LOVE THIS TRAILER

Let's see
I adore Adam Driver. If they're giving him a monologue, he'll make the most of it for sure.

The guy can act. The tiny quiver of his lip when he senses Leia in the trailer. Making his entire performance under a helmet believeable and threatening and yet subtle. He's got the chops.

durdencommatyler wrote:Kylo Ren's little band-aid is interesting. I wonder how much of the movie we can piece together based on when he has it in the trailer and when he doesn't. Stands to reason that the stuff where he does have it is probably closer to the beginning of the film, right? Since this picks up right after TFA, I think that makes some sense. And then when he's without it, we're further into the story.

Hey Joey. Supercut trailer.

Seems like Luke agrees to begin training Rey and then he realizes her power and decides to stop, right? Is that what you guys are getting?

Is it the new poster? The one that has everyone in the shape of Darth Vader's face?

The main one. Comes with a fandango pre purchase of tickets.
