Is there a Let's Try To Mention As Many Shitty Songs As We Can On A Single Page contest I'm not aware of?

I'm not the biggest Foo Fighters fan, but I'm a fan of Dave Grohl and his hunger for creating and admiring music. But thought this recent quote about the new FF album is a good example of an "aging" rock dude with a wife and family and slightly more domesticated lifestyle than his past, still going after that creative force that he needs to follow... very much the antithesis to the hypothesis going around these days about EV not being EV anymore bc of wife/kids/whatever
The Foo Fighters frontman believes they are doing something completely original regarding the upcoming album. “I have this idea that I don’t think anyone’s done before, and we’re going to try it. We don’t really want to give away our little secret yet, but it’s happening. And we’re pretty psyched about it. It’s much more of an involved process than just going in to make a record down the street, because we’ve done that before. And everybody does that. So at this point, maybe let’s challenge ourselves to do something that’s more than just sitting down and making a record so you can go out and sell a bunch of T-shirts.”

To be fair, we have next to no knowledge of what the hell LB is yet. And the RS interview with BOB somehow left me with less knowledge. Based on some of the broad strokes though, it's not outside the realm of possibility that LB is something of a concept record with themes flowing from the cover art.

Or not.

I'm still not convinced that Backspacer, and all the lack of enthusiasm and drive surrounding it, wasn't just a phase. It certainly seemed to be there through S/T, even if I don't love that album either.

I'm really liking the way things are looking with the cover, MYM and the bits of the video we've seen.

LB and FD are kinda at odds with that though right now, so yeah, i don't know what to expect.

Hopefully we can judge a book by it's cover, because the album art is bold and conveys a sense of thematic direction.

Or not.

Is he really doing this? I hope he gets it in black, not white.

Or maybe black on the right arm and white on the left.
