One of my dearest friends mocked the shit out of Sirens for a few weeks. Couldnt believe PJ would do that. Actually, he wasnt surprised because he thought backspacer was a joke, along with their playing and decisions the past 4 years, however....

Today I got a message "I think I might Like Sirens"

Yup 8-)

This song has crossed into "I do not know how I feel about it anymore" territory.

This actually makes it sound like Sirens is a con or something.

Like it's built to pull you in, and then in the final act it just Breakfast Can Waits all over the place.

Which would actually be kind of amazing, if it happened.

Someone needs to photoshop Ed into these sirens btw. One with long hair and one with short hair preferably.

What is it to be Future Day'ed? Put aside until way into the future to maybe enjoy it under different circumstances?

My read of being Future Day'ed is much more dystopian.

Yeah, fuck it. I'm changing my favorite in the poll from Pendulum to Sirens. It's just true.

My read of being Future Day'ed is much more dystopian.
My issue with FD is that it should be more dystopian. The album has a religious / apocalyptic theme, generally. The keyboards on the outro should sound like people are being taken away by aliens at the end of the world, and they're not that pretty.

Hands down the best song on the album. Not the coolest song on the album, but the best.

Yes! That's what this album needs!

Re: Sirens

It's not as if it's some sappy ballad - there's some heart to it and it's musically, for lack of a better word, complex. It's got a really interesting melody, which is something this band has kind of been lacking in the last decade or so.

I'll even go as far to say I think it's the best PJ ballad since Thumbing My Way.

Still...
