Got her back home a little bit ago. Everything was fine when I picked her up and drive back home. Just like her same old self. I get her back home and she no more than walks inside and she just collapses and pees everywhere. So now I’m thinking I’ve just brought her home to die. But she was obviously still breathing and not quite as out of it as yesterday. She’s been laying here while I fix breakfast as if nothing ever happened and every time she gets up and goes to another room or something, I panic thinking she crawled off somewhere to die.

Same to you.

It's strange how dogs want to crawl off somewhere alone to die. I kinda get it. It's like they know.

Fucking Axl Rose diva bullshit. She finished about 11:15 and it’s now 12:15 as we’re still waiting to even fucking move.
We didn’t get home until 2:30am.

Wishing your puppers all the best guys. We had to put our old boy down a few years ago and that was terribly sad. But we gave him a good life and now we are giving the next doggo a good life too.

Sometimes the biggest show of love is to let them go in peace and out of pain.

After being internet research vet for the afternoon, we’ve concluded Snowball was having syncope episodes brought on by excitement. It’s a somewhat common symptom of her CHF. There have been a couple of times in the past week when, out of nowhere, Eddie will just attack her in the middle of the night. We’re all asleep and then BAM! he’s going after her like she’s his mortal enemy. I don’t know if he was around her yesterday but I watched him go up to her excitedly when I brought her home this morning and that’s exactly when she dropped. So I think he’s triggering some sort of PTSD response in her and due to her other health issue, she’s just passing out.

I hope.

I’ve held one when we put her down and it almost killed me. The next one died literally while I was on the phone with the vet’s emergency service. Hopefully we’ve still got some time before going thru any of it again.

We work concessions for most of the premiere venues in Nashville. Technically, we volunteer.
