Who would've thought that a countdown clock would have me so excited!?
I'm a fuckin' 36 year old man and I'm anxiously waiting for unknown news from a rock band I liked as a teenager.

Well, maybe the Ten Club constantly treating everyone like a child makes them think that they're actually younger than they really are.

There was this....
Two dates from Pearl Jam’s 2013 North American tour have been revealed:
October 11, 2013- Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania- Console Energy Center
October 12, 2013- Buffalo, New York- First Niagra Centre
The Buffalo show briefly appeared on Tickets.com yesterday. Pearl Jam will announce fall 2013 tour dates later today.

I was referring to any album/song "facts".
We all know they are going to reveal tour dates I don't think that's ever been in question.

I don't know, I kind of feel that, at the very least, their singles are fairly representative of their albums, certainly in the 2000's. The biggest gap between single and album feel was probably that I Am Mine was more accessible than most of Riot Act, but even that one had the more muted, weathered Ed voice, the warm feel of the production, etc. WWS, Fixer, NAIS, they all seem to have a lot of the things the band was concentrating on in the records they came from.
oh, sure, and I think you can just as easily read No Code out of Who You Are, or Yield out of Given To Fly. But I think it's not until after you have the album that you can really tell what aspects of the song are unique to the song itself, and what speaks to the larger context of the album.

usually it's just a "tweet" a few days ahead of time saying an announcement is coming.
Definitely more hype and build up involved here.
either a total setup for mass disappointment, or something cool.
