Pretty sure Universal initially stated it would be out on the 21st; the band later sent out an email confirming it would be out on the 22nd.

Something kind of bittersweet I was thinking: If this album comes out and is awesome, it will shut the door on a solid decade of underwhelming output marked by regurgitative songwriting, limited album space used as vehicles for solo Ed songs, and production that has worked to disservice those compositions that were better than the rest.

Ten whole years of meh from one of the greatest bands of all time. God I hope it's over.
