I have a wise ass friend in his mid 60's who used to like rock but his perved mind or whatever has lead him to liking modern pop. I played the sbwm clip for him and 5 seconds in he was like, "what is that, the batman theme song? Turn it off." I felt like strangling him.

SBWM already had like 15 pages before this spritzy-ass clip dropped

I had to use a YouTube video on my TV of a moon to unlock this. I liked the sound of it.

Good point. I think thats what it would have taken with him. He's lucky he had a flannel shirt on.

When you lay out the facts
  • 16 second snippet; double looped
    mono mix (not stereo)
mp3 VBR V2 (though this hardly factors in given the above)
it makes a lot of sense that the application for this clip is the website app playing through a shitty cell phone speaker.
And explains why the audio clip didn't impress me more on my real speakers than my laptop speakers.

I was content skipping the preview altogether but hey it was too easy to click on the link -- https://moon.pearljam.com/sounds/moon_audio.mp3

Fun and I've got no complaints but.. now I'm gonna do my best to forget this exists and hope that the full song is released at 11pm Central Time next Monday.

Totally into this clip. I'd be fine if the whole song was just 2-3 minutes of this.

Definite "Hitchhiker"/"Black Red Yellow" vibes.
