The only songs from this album that I ever want to hear again are Marker, Parachutes, and Army Reserve.

Life Wasted and WWS aren't THAT bad. Sure the lyrics are a bit clunky but they are still pretty decent rockers, especially live.

It's really not that different from Big Wave musically.

I’m ambivalent about WWS but Life Wasted is great.

It's not that I hate it, I just don't think it was a good single. Ed crams way too many lyrics into it.

I can’t believe some people here like Big Wave. Those are some horrendous lyrics.

It's the "fun" song on the album and doesn't take itself too seriously. Plus, the music is fantastic.

This is my main hangup with it.

I can appreciate a dumb, fun rocker as much as the next guy (hello "The Fixer"), but it feels out of place to me on an album that mostly seems to concern itself with Big Issues. I dunno -- maybe I'm missing something.

I guess it does kinda seem outta place, but I actually like the lyrics and Ed's delivery of them. And I surf in celebration of a billion adaptations... I feel the need planted in me millions of years ago can't you see... Love it.

I adore Big Wave. The lyrics dont really matter to me, it has a great chorus, and the music is amazing. The ending is classic PJ.

The opening line bugs me. But other than that, I don't think the lyrics are that bad.

I think Comatose has worse lyrics.

Every song on this record has some clunky lines. Most also have an interesting turn of phrase, evocative image, or insightful reflection somewhere along the way...which puts ST basically on par with Vs lyrically.

If Big Wave, then Supersonic?

I actually enjoy both (prefer Big Wave), but I tend to enjoy the “fun” songs on their albums.
