the new JB album sounds a lot like his first releases, which is a good thing

Absolutely in love with Eluvium's (Whirring Marvels In) Consensus Reality. It's Eluvium with a string ensemble. Beautiful sounds

Metric has been killing it the last couple years. This chorus is crazy good. They have the best choruses. Chori?

New Baroness is just okay. The songs are there, but the production is so utterly benign. Single coil guitars playing this sort of thing need any help they can get.

Excellent video. Tune is aight. Chem Bros did the vast majority of the lifting here. Is Beck all out of ideas?

Great post 'Ello, I agree with everything you've said.
The first 2 singles from this are fire ('No Reason' and 'All of a Sudden') and it looks as though this new CB album could be a corker.
Love these guys.
Beck, I've got no idea about though.

Also, I assume this will be on a new Death Cab for Cutie album this year, but this damn fine track dropped recently.
Also, just quietly, how much fun is this new song and dance routine you have to go through to link a youtube video these days?? The fuck?

Whilst Black Duck's 2023 album won't make my top list for the year as a whole, I do very much dig this little ditty, The Trees are Dancing. Come get some.
