30? Each team gets 3/game....
it will feel like 30. And it will only expand now that they have opened this can of worms. Look at the NFL...its just one giant officials review. Fox even employs a former official to cut to for analysis during these annoying breaks in action.
I'd rather them get the call right. Bad call should not be affecting, much less deciding, games.

Look at hockey, it gets it done quickly. And baseball wastes 20-30 seconds between pitches already always. What's the difference? What "break in the action"? This is baseball. After every play, every pitch, there is a break in the action...

Besides, You really can't complain about any US sports moving slow with all the commercials anyways. 8-)

So, supposedly Arod's "inner circle" leaked documents to Yahoo implicating Braun and Cervelli. If thats true, how does this guy manage to show his face on a field again? He just becomes a bigger douche by the day.

A replay official would fix a lot of this, no discussing, no arguments, just get the damned call right.

We have high definition replays now, many times they are in the right location and make excellent calls, many times they are not. The strike zone is a fluid thing but they should be more consistent than they are.

There's no reason for officials on the field to get into a huddle and or go look for something, The video feed is there and available. If you can see it on replay change the call, if you can't don't.

It doesn't take more than 1 minute and it shouldn't take much more than 30 seconds.

No fucking shit!! I fucking hate that fuckign tool bag.

On top of that, I hate fucking ESPN (no shit i do). Last night they advertise the baseball game as, "Catch the Red Sox vs. A-Rod & the Yankees!"

Why do you fucking advertise his name like that?! Because he's popular in the news right now?! He's not popular for good reasons. He shouldn't be on the baseball field! But of course you need to generate ratings. Yet, Braun gets lambasted by everyone under the sun. Deservedly so, but they go on treating A-Rod as this phenom. Pisses me off.

Most unlikeable person in sports.

It started in football with limited replay and challenges, but they are replaying every goddamned play now and it's ruined nfl football, I barely watch it anymore and that's one of the principle reasons. The human element and occasional bad calls have always been a part of baseball and I have no problem with that.

Ruined football? Sorry it's as popular as ever.

Angel Hernandez sucks, anything that can improve his shitty umpiring is good for the sport.

Yep. People who've never been to a live NFL game think its a fast sport. In reality, the players are just standing around. Its quite jarring the first time you witness a game in person. Its not nearly as obvious when you watch on TV with all the commercial breaks.

Those were also idiotic scab refs, so I don't think that game should be used as an example in this debate.

The league is being assholes. Why are they leaking so much stuff? If they truly wanted PEDs gone from baseball, they'd have kept this quite and been thanking A-Rod for implicating users. It looks to me like Selig is more concerned with getting A-Rod out of baseball than PEDs. A-Rod's a douche but the league and Selig are being blatant bullies.

My post was aimed more at his fellow players' opinion of him than Selig's.

Yeah it makes everyone look bad.... Arod, NYY, Selig, MLB... Makes it hard to be interested in MLB, esp with football starting up.
