speaking of euro disc golf, the European Open DG tournament and Presidents Cup (USA vs. Europe Ryder Cup style match) are going on this weekend. Disc golf is pretty big over in Euroland, especially Scandinavia.

Do the french play? If so, more than enough reasons to get over there.

We should have a west coast contingent do this....winners collide on Leg 3 of the tour....
One for the Wrigley show? :)

I played for the first time in several years this past Sunday. I purposely played the easy course that is in town so I didn't do too bad for someone that was average at best to begin with. I use a lot of tomahawk throws for drives so my arm got a little tired near the end. I enjoyed it, though, so I'm thinking I might go again this Sunday.

I've been addicted to disc golf since i first tried it in the winter, and with all the stuff that was going on last week, i haven't been able to play in 2 weeks or more now, I've gotta get out there this weekend

It's been too damned hot to play lately.

I just realized that I've got three months to get in shape and really up my game before you and I tee off.

Played 28 holes today
We started out at the course in appomattox that we have been wanting to check out for a while, we really liked what we saw of it but we only made it through 10 holes before a nasty storm moved in. So we decided not to get soaked again, and this time we would have had to dodge lightning, so we headed back towards home, but it cleared up on the way back so we hit peaks view and played 18 there. Up and down most of the day, but i feel like im starting to get back to playing pretty well except for putting, im still terrible at putting right now

I putt my worst when I think too much.

I know that's a good part of my problem too because i can hit puts from 20 to 30 feet away on the practice baskets pretty consistently, but once there is a tree even close to my line then i can't throw for shit

Don't overthink the line. Just line it up and take the shot.

Yup, totally Zen out when you putt. Or drive even.

I played again on Saturday. I only shot two over, but it's a pretty damn easy course so I need to turn some pars into birdies at some point. I played the back nine with a guy who had been playing by himself, and he told me about a 24 hole course that is being built at the park in my neighborhood. I Googled it when I got home, and sure enough, it should be ready around Labor Day.

ive never been able to do much of a tomahawk because my shoulder gives me problems when i do, but yesterday the course we started out at was pretty heavily wooded, and if you found yourself off the fairway (like i did on most of the holes) then you were in with a ton of trees with no line to throw out of, so i started throwing kind of a tomahawk roller that worked pretty well for me, just picked a line where the disc standing on its side could fit through and threw it with the plan for it to hit the ground about 20 feet in front of me and roll.

Went with the boys to Woodland Park yesterday. Mason is catching on pretty fast and his tomahawks/thumbers are starting to intimidate.

I did alright throwing a comet for most of the course. I still suck with drivers and my putting is awfulsauce. I have a Vibram Ridge to putt with but if I'm more than 20 feet from the pin I always manage to griplock and the damn thing wings off to the extreme right. Switched to a Sole on the last pin and that worked a bit better.

The gravel in these tees is terrible.

Had a hole in one yesterday. It was awesome. Was playing with my stepson and brother, so there were witnesses!

No, not yet. It's the course out at Coastal Carolina University. The first nine holes might be on there, but they just added another nine. It was on hole 11.
