Re: TV: Fargo
Also just finished a rewatch of season 3. For some reason, I had it in my memory from my original viewing that the season did end with Varga winning and Burgle crushed. Color me thrilled at the ambiguous ending.
On to season 4, which I don’t remember loving. Still, it’ll be better than 95% of everything else on TV.

Re: TV: Fargo
A very slight step down from the last two eps (more conventional, maybe?) but still great. It’s gonna be a long wait til next Wednesday.

Disagree that it was a step down in any way. It's only ramping up in quality IMO.

Indeed. The DLR plates were a neat little callback though.

God cuts our names into bone and that's what we become. He blows his trumpet and the walls fall down. You came here looking for Lot's wife but she's already a pillar of salt and she isn't turning back.

Speaking of hands... The hand a man steals with must be relieved from him and returned. It’s still a hand, but now it’s without function.

Enjoyed the finale, but I still feel it could've been better. The way:

I liked the finale. The only bit I didn't like is the same bit Ello didn't like. Final ending sequence was obviously unexpected, kept threatening to go the wrong way, but ended up great. Really liked this season a lot. Juno Temple, good job

If they ever want to re-cast Jaws in a Bond flick, I think I know who should do it…

Re: TV: Fargo
I think this should've been combined with x09 to make one, longer finale. The pacing felt off starting with the big climax at the ranch which made the whole thing feel abbreviated. And then it felt like there were way too many commercial break cuts over the rest of the episodes that robbed it of some flow and cohesiveness.
The last scene with Mook/Munch was great but maybe a little too long. (That said, I don't know what I'd cut).
And that final shot...*chefskiss*
Here's hoping Noah's Weyland-Yutani series turns out to be season 6. They could tie in with season 2 by making the Alien pilot the UFO.

Watching this on Hulu without commercials was the right call. It meant waiting a day, but it was worth it.Ensign9 wrote:I think this should've been combined with x09 to make one, longer finale. I loved the finale, but no way Whit was born in 1983. You’re telling me that man was 36 when he died? 56 maybe.
