Guys, I may have overlooked how good Norm Cash was in 1961. And only in 1961.

J/K Lament. Enjoy the ride.
It'll get worse. I have another expansion team tomorrow (the Astros), so the White Sox could really easily be 7-1 or 8-0. But then five of the next six series are against the old school (Pirates, Indians, Red Sox, Cubs, Yankees). I'm gonna need my staff to be dominant down that stretch.

Alan Trammell is looking like the early leader for Most Outstanding Position Player of the regular season.

Were you pleased to see Yan Gomes hit a home run in one of your games today?

Kelly Gruber hit a pair of doubles today to boost his OPS up to .379.

So... do I move Bautista to 3B and Bell/White to the OF, or give Molitor a chance at 3B? Managerial decisions!

My vote is currently for Joe Morgan.

His numbers are like Barry Bonds numbers on steroids!

Joe Morgan's numbers are ridiculous too. I'm inputting my stats at the moment. It's looking like Minoso and Shoeless Joe may be in early contention as well.

Morgan is also doing well for the Astros, I'm gonna spreadsheet up the Astros numbers this weekend.

Joe Morgan's slugging percentage is closer to what an OPS should be.

I've got Olerud leading the way (because he's the best ever) with a 1.122 OPS, with Moseby and Barfield also above 1.000. My top pitchers so far have been Clemens and Stieb, who are tied with a 6.00 ERA. I guess I'll give the edge to Clemens because his WHIP is only 1.50 and Stieb's is 2.50.

No wonder I'm 1-5!

I think we should have banned White Sox players with ties to Arnold Rothstein.

His .960 SLG would have been the third highest OPS in the MLB in 2014.

You know how this is all gonna play out, right?

I'll face the Skitch Red Machine in the World Series and agree to throw it in exchange for a Ke$ha poster.

chud, how can I add a pitcher to the spreadsheet and keep his cells formatted with the right formulas?

Also, how are you guys screenshotting your total stats?

I wish I remembered any of the stuff I learned in my Excel workshop back in like 2008. Or had my book here.

I'm using OpenOffice not Excel, but it's essentially the same thing I just don't have to steal it or pay Microsoft.

If you right click and add a row where the pitchers are, it should push everything else down and adjust all the formulas by 1 position, so theoretically the formulas should all remain intact despite the additional row.

When you're setting up the individual cells for that new pitcher, for the cells that have formulas in them instead of just numerical inputs (ie, ERA, WHIP, K/9) just select the cell from the pitcher above the new one and click on the bottom right corner of the cell and drag it down into the cell for the new pitcher, and it should copy the formula but adjusted for this pitcher.

And just use the windows snip tool to take a screenshot, or use GreenShot (3rd party free software) like I do.

I'm using OpenOffice too. Excellent, thanks! This spreadsheet is fantastic. Really great work.
