Every time I listen to Dirt I come away thinking how awful it must be to be addicted to heroin. Because that's basically all that's going on during that album. There are a lot of great guitar riffs and some great songs, but I'd probably put it second to S/T for me.

I thought I'd remembered posting about "Facelift" before so I searched and found this:

Though from memory "We Die Young" is the only song that really does it for me anymore.Kevin Davis wrote:''Facelift'' is probably the weakest of their pre-reunion records. I'm always surprised by the luke warm reception to Facelift here. Sometimes I'll skip Put You Down, Confusion or I Know Something About You but the other 9 tracks are great. Essential even.

I made a greatest hits mix plus Jar of Flies, and that's all I ever need from them. I don't like a ton of their songs, but I love the ones that click with me.
