As I typed that I faintly heard the wind whisper "loser".

For real though magic and the occult are a big part of DC. These characters are goofy man shit or get off the pot.

I don't agree with the notion that Superman needs to be powered down to create an interesting story. A fully-powered Superman was featured in Grant Morrison's "All Star Superman" with fantastic results and some of the best superhero stories of the last 15 years, if not all time.

Unfortunately, the character is handled so lazily 99% of the time, featuring his stoicism and moral superiority above all else, that the Superman moniker has become saturated to the point of boredom.

I'd argue Snyder quite intentionally tore down Supe's moral superiority in MOS. He causes massive amounts of death and destruction, and quite controversially murders the villain.

Yup, I enjoyed that aspect of Man of Steel.

For the record, I liked MoS.

But I don't think his character was handled exceptionally well either.

Also, this looks better than BvS.

Superman: The Animated Series would probably be my ideal Superman. Depowered, interesting and fun.

Burt's right. I've said the same thing for years. Make Superman movies where Superman is the backdrop. Focus on the humans.

I'm on board. A better movie would be following firefighters who have to put out all the explosions superheroes/supervillians cause.

there is actually a marvel show/movie being bandied about with this scenario in mind.

its called damage control. in the comics they are a company who cleans up demolished buildings and usually bills the heroes or the government

its more on the humorous side of things than anything else

That will probably be released when the well really dries up. After Ant Man 4 and Captain America 16.
