We should just replace school with a bunch of TED talks.

We need to work on marketability first.

"A lot of white America and so-called liberal people of color, along with conservatives, ask, “Do I understand context?” And that’s part of wanting to completely humanize the oppressor. To see the white man as always reasonable, always pure, always deliberate, always complex and always innocent. And to see the woman of color as literal. Both my intent behind the hashtag and in my [unintelligible] distance, is always about forcing an apology on me for not understanding their context when, in reality, they misunderstood us when they made us a punch line again. So it’s always this logic of how can we understand whiteness better, and that’s never been my politics. I’ve always been about occupying the margins and strengthening the margins and what that means is that, for a long time, whiteness has also occupied the margins. Like, people of color get in circles with no white people in the room and we see that whiteness still operates. So I think it’s kind of a shock for America that whiteness has dominant society already, it also seeps into the margins. What happens the one time when the margins seep into the whiteness and we encroach on their space? It’s like the sky is falling."

Maybe if SHE did a Ted Talk. I feel like that's the best way for her to support this thread.

We should all take a day off next week and go watch this movie together to better understand our whiteness.

Centuries from now, when archeologists are sifting through our ruins looking for the event which caused the decline of western civilization, they will discover this movie.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but I think there's a real message for harmless in The Passion of the Christ (2004). Imagine that you come into a world where there is not the slightest bit of physical or emotional suffering to either you or anyone. That's the world you're born into. Could you then ever be honest? Could you ever be loyal? Could you ever be courageous? Patient? It's just not possible. The words would not exist. So this is the way the world has to be (microaggressions), in order for man to evolve, and reach his highest level.

I can understand the idea of Harry Limb being funny, but copying & pasting shit I've said in the past is just plain dumb. And lazy.

You know, for a second my feelings were hurt.
Then I looked more closely at the name in your post, and realized you weren't talking about me at all.
It was like balloons from the sky and a confetti gun. All at once.

it's in your best interest that we make you human again, mcparry. it's not fair to you to be put on a pedestal. consider this a lesson in humility.

Yeah, but feedback isn't very productive or useful when it isn't clear and specific. So tell me, is this consequence most related to...
1. Fruit Roll-ups?
2. Ted Talks?
3. did you hear that letterman is stepping down
4. Asking harmless some open-ended questions, and trying to get him talking about the intricacies of his philosophies rather than fixating on feeling like he's being bullied?
5. Speaking in a hurtful manner about the good souls behind our 24 hour cycle readily available from anywhere at anytime news coverage?
6. I really like the Blue Oyster Cult.
I need to know, so I can plan the appropriate course corrections in the future. Thanks.
