Yeah, it only seems fair. If you are a paying member that didn't get tickets through the lotto, you shouldn't get shut out of the free pre-sale.

I don't disagree, but based on the part I caught yesterday I don't think that's what "Verified Fan" is for, so I doubt that is going to happen for this go around.

This is my best guess: the verified fan presale isn't a presale in the normal sense, and basically everyone who successfully registered will have access to the presale. However, access to the presale will certainly not mean you will get tickets. The verified fan presale will be much like a regular on-sale date that happens after the fan club and season ticket holders have taken their chunk.

Normally, you can search for tickets on ticketmaster without logging in first. The verified fan thing is just a way to make you log-in first, in attempts to stop people from searching with computer programs or multiple computers at once, etc.

I would be interested in using it for an event in which a majority of the good seats are available, rather than a PJ show.

Did I read it wrong, or do you have to be a 10C member to become a verified fan?

You read it wrong.

The verified fan presale is, in effect, the public sale.

My interpretation is that it is a public sale, one that you have to sign up for which shows you want a chance at, vs. the public sale where the bots are loose. It's an important distinction.

That's my interpretation too.

Another thing that is interesting (to me, at least), is that they are using Ticketmaster at all. Games and concerts at Fenway are usually sold through the Tickets.com platform. That's how the 2016 Pearl Jam tickets were sold publicly, and that's how the other Fenway concerts this summer are being sold. If I am reading this correctly, the true public sale will also be through Tickets.com, and not Ticketmaster. That leads me to believe that the season ticket holder sale will also be through Tickets.com.

I think you just blew my mind. A couple weeks ago I bought Candlebox tickets. I was logged in to TM using two different browsers on my PC (Chrome and Explorer), as well as the TM app on my phone. The moment tix went on sale (10am sharp) I was able to get them on my phone app, while the two browsers took forever to load and eventually told me the tix were sold out after a couple minutes (10:02am approx).

I have been doing the two browser thing for a while, not really tracking if it gets me better results than just using one.

Do you think being logged in to TM twice on my PC was a bad thing?

Will we know if we got 10c tickets before the verified fan presale?

I think so. I think the verified fan sale starts the 14th. the 10C tix will be decided by the 12th, I believe.

No. And to be clear, I'm only guessing that you can't do it through the Verified Fan program, but I don't know for sure.

Candlebox sold out in two minutes?

What's more impressive is that it was the third largest Arby's in the county.

Assuming these extra shows do transpire, when do we think we will hear about them? About a week after the public on-sale?

Often times added shows just go on sale at the moment the first show(s) sell out. There would be no 10C sale.

the only way these extra shows make any sense is if it was the only way they got to ensure the amount of 10C tickets they supposedly secured for the first two nights...and even then, they better hope they can take care of everyone like they said they thought they would, because if they can't, and then this third show happens with no sort of presale for 10C people who were shut out...well good luck to them

Obviously, more shows is a good thing, but if they add shows after explicitly telling you to book accommodations beforehand, that would be fucked.

Has any modern act sold out Safeco and/or Fenway for a three night run?

there's only been a handful of concerts at Safeco, and all of them were one night only.
