again, i haven't seen the movie, because i prefer to spend my days trolling at the bottom of the ocean for decaying organic matter, but from what i have read the following seems like a reasonable synopsis:

- this movie is so brilliant it makes citizen kane look like a hot pockets commercial
- the CGI is so crisp and inspiring it makes heaven look like a cruise ship toilet bowl on the second day of a norovirus outbreak
- the dialogue is so funny the body of robin williams should be exhumed and beaten like a piñata to help humanity cope with how misplaced our previous conception of humor was
- use of the term 'orgy' in front of 13 year olds is not grounds for a childhood #metoo moment, rather it should be encouraged as a family discussion topic

What he's getting at is how ridiculous it is that people are jerking each other off so much over a marvel movie.

I knew I didn't want to see this movie once Stip wrote one of his 7 paragraph fluff pieces on it. See also: Backspacer

Spoiler: show
Wakanda buys 3 distressed properties to redevelop? Great, now Wakandans are gentrifiers as well. How did that deal get past Oakland City Council? What sort of allocation for public housing have they included with the plan? Its all good and well for Wakanda, but what about displaced Oaklanders?
Some politician in Oakland, probably.

Why? So she can be knowledgeable about sex and have it when she’s ready?

Anders, you’ve been here long enough to know whether or not someone enters a thread to have a conversation vs. someone who enters a thread braying for attention

See this if you dig Marvel movies and/or are in the mood for a superhero action movie.

See Annihilation if you dig slow, arty sci-fi and are in the mood for a head trip.

I've seen marvel movies before. They are bad. I suppose there is a Wakanda 101 course coming together for next semester at the college though, since this kids movie has changed us all forever.
