Another terrible voice narrator. Where do they find these people?

He also did the Conan stories. I guess he put them all together himself and is some kind of expert on pulp, but it would have been nice if he sprang for a professional narrator.

Only read the prologue and first chapter. It's good enough that I want to keep going so that's something. What are your favorite Cormac's?

Blood Meridian for sure.

I liked Stella Maris more than The Passenger, but I might be in the minority on that.

I believe my Cormac obsessed pal preferred The Passenger, but he's the only person i've actually talked to about them.

I need to re-read Blood Meridian. Despite being generally overwhelmed, I thought it was baller af experience.

Suttree is the only 80's works of his i've read, so I need to remedy that.

You sure do read a lot. Those are my top three as well. I’m surprised to see No Country so low.

I saw the movie first, so i can't be fair about it. I think the movie does a lot of stuff better, and the dialogue is really annoying to me at times.

I like them all though.

huge fan of that book and i want to re read it soon. I also want to get Doppelganger, her last one. She was a guest on someone´s podcast when the book came out and it was very interesting.
You know, I might re-read Pattern Recognition after I finish this one. No Logo's "cool hunters" must have inspired Gibson's lead character in that novel, or at least Gibson and Klein were drinking from the same fountain at the turn of the century.

Thankful that those two paved the way for "Pattern Recognition" the song.

I think you'd like it. I've heard some people say they don't care for William Gibson's prose, but I think that his world building more than makes up for it. A key plot point features a message board community, which would probably seem archaic to most readers but would fit right at home in this weird little space of the internet we call RMica.

The layered cel reproductions are great. Even the pencil drawings look real. Wish I could read Japanese.

Should I drop $1200 on the complete set? I think I'll probably stick with the layout and storyboard ones.

If you collect them all, you get a "prize" of some sort (they aren't all out yet, do no one knows what it is). But I already threw away one of the forms, so I'll have to buy the book again.
